The remote control SNAPPER Boat Latch adds a new dimension to boat trailer catch and release activity never before experienced. One person can catch or release their boat from their boat trailer without having to get out of the boat, stand in the water, or stand on a trailer support. Boat trailer catch and release has become many times safer with the use of the SNAPPER Boat Latch. The SNAPPER Boat Latch electronics are sealed to prevent road dirt and fresh or salt water damage to the unit. All connectors are water proof. The bumper is made from polyurethane which is the same material used for boat trailer rollers and v-blocks on millions of boat trailers. Boat hulls will not be marred or scuffed by coming into contact with the SNAPPER Boat Latch bumpers. The SNAPPER Boat Latch allows the boater to secure a boat being loaded onto a boat trailer from the water. The boater activates the SNAPPER Boat Latch remote as the boat approaches the boat trailer. The red LED indicator will illuminate to indicate the SNAPPER Boat Latch is set to receive and secure the boat as the bow eye passes through the SNAPPER Boat Latch jaws. The red LED indicator will turn off once the jaws have been activated by the boat's bow eye passing through them, holding the boat in place on the boat trailer. The boat trailer can now be moved to dry ground where the boat is then secured to the trailer by attaching and tightening the trailer winch hook to the bow eye of the boat for required safety and security during trailering. The boater follows a similar process to release the boat from the trailer for launching. The winch hook is removed from the bow eye prior to the trailer being backed into the water. The boater activates the SNAPPER Boat Latch remote once the boat trailer is in the water and the boat is ready to be launched. The red LED indicator will be illuminated. The boater then backs the boat off the boat trailer. The red LED indicator will turn off once the bow eye passes back through the SNAPPER Boat Latch jaws. The SNAPPER Boat Latch jaws may be set manually by pulling the slider bar located at the back underneath side of the SNAPPER Boat Latch. The red LED indicator will operate in the same manner as it does using the remote control function.
